Open Design is a local-first desktop application that uses supported coding-agent CLIs as the design engine and exports editable files such as HTML, PDF, PPTX, images, and MP4.

A user can describe an artifact, iterate visually, keep project files on disk, and export a result instead of receiving only a chat response.
3. Recommended first use
Install the desktop release for your operating system, connect one supported CLI with a test account, and create a small static page before trying slides or video.
4. Requirements and cost
A supported coding-agent CLI and its own model account are required. Export complexity and cost depend on the selected agent, provider, and media type.
5. Who it suits
Useful for solo creators and developers who want editable local artifacts rather than screenshots or opaque hosted projects.
6. Limits and safety
Agent-generated visual work still needs brand, accessibility, and export review. Local-first storage does not make model requests local when a cloud CLI is selected. Connect only a dedicated model account, review generated scripts and assets, keep client material out of test projects, and verify export files before public release.
